How to Refer to Rethink Psychology?

Refer your patients to Rethink Psychology by completing the Rethink GP Referral Form. Alternatively, you can email a letter or the client’s MHTP directly to our email address admin@rethinkpsychology.com.au.

If you are not eligible for Medicare benefits, you do not need a referral. You can book immediately by contacting us via phone, email, or the ‘Book Now’ button above. Without a Medicare Mental Health Treatment Plan you will be liable for the full cost of the therapy session.
If you are eligible for Medicare benefits, speak to your GP about obtaining a Mental Health Treatment Plan. You may be able to receive a Medicare refund for a part of the therapy session fee.

NDIS participants who are plan-managed or self-managed can access therapy and assessment through Rethink Psychology.
To arrange an appointment using your NDIS (Improved Daily Living) funding, call or email us today. Alternatively, if you are referring your NDIS client, complete the Rethink Community Referral Form and email it to admin@rethinkpsychology.com.au.
Our Fees.
Individual Sessions
$225.00
NDIS Participants
$222.99
Medicare.
If you are eligible for a Medicare Mental Health Treatment Plan, you will receive 6 Medicare-refunded sessions, reducing your out-of-pocket cost. Following a MHTP review, you may be eligible to receive 4 additional sessions.
Private Health Insurance.
Private health insurers may rebate part of the cost of psychological consultations however your rebate amount will depend on your insurer and coverage. Contact your health insurance provider for further information.
Recommended Fees.
The APS (Australian Psychological Society) publishes a recommended schedule of fees as a guide for psychologists providing private psychology services. The 2023-2024 Recommended Schedule of Fees has set the standard 45 to 60 minute consultation fee at $300.00.
The Rethink Psychology session fees are well below these recommendations to help you access the support you need.
